The new Apple iMac is impressively thin. This shows it’s progression from 2004, to 2009, to 2012. I’m really pleased. I look forward to possibly owning this one day. Or I’ll just get another MacBook Pro. But that wont be for a few years.

Now I’m looking forward to seeing what Google comes out with next week in the 10” Tablet department.

I kinda bricked my tablet, and I dont have my USB cable with me. So i’m gonna stick around and work on that for a while.

You can ask me some things if you want. I’ll probably answer pretty quickly.

I maintain that my new cell phone takes very good pictures, even though every tech source has claimed that it cant keep up with the other devices out there.

(Even if my subject choices are odd)

It’s panorama feature is worse than my old phone’s, but my old phone was made by Sony. So it had an advantage.

It’s a Gumball vending machine that dispenses eBooks, Songs, Videos, Games.

As an experiment with NFC technology, Germany-based digital agency Razorfish hacked an old gumball vending machine and turned it into a virtual goodie box.

Called ‘Digital-Gum-Goods’, the gumball machine was fitted with a Samsung Galaxy Tab, an NFC-shield, a reed switch and two Arduino microcontrollers.

So that when a coin was put into the Digital-Gum-Goods machine, and its lever turned, the machine would distribute digital content—such as apps, movies, songs, eBooks, videos, games and other location-based content—at a tap of an NFC-enabled phone on the release chute.

A charming way to sell and distribute digital content in the physical world.

I told you NFC was a good thing! Now if only my new phone had it.

HTC One X packaging design

On the left: The international packaging for the HTC One X.

On the right: the american AT&T packaging for the same phone.

Why do third parties always ruin a good thing? The original packaging matches the shape & design of the phone so well! The AT&T packaging is obnoxious. They could’ve simply added some orange and some branding to the original packaging.

That’s probably the cause of delays, nothing to do with the phone.

You might have read today that an independent company compared AT&T and Verizon’s LTE networks, and tested their speeds. In that test, they also examined different phones.
Above is a chart about battery life between the two phones on different networks. While this probably has very little to do with network speeds, it does say a lot about the way we use phones. One of these companies is moving forward with progress, the other is failing, while trying to solve everything at once.
You’ll notice that the Droid Bionic has the longest call time, and that the Skyrocket’s is almost half that. One might think to themself:

OH GOD WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS?! WHY IS THE CALL TIME SO FUCKING LOW?!?!!?!?!?! ITS A GODDAMN PHONE!

But the thing is, how many of you are actually using your phone for calls. Yeah, it happens, but if you have an LTE phone, it’s highly likely that you’re using your phone for something much more fun than making a call & the call feature is just there for emergencies.
What Samsung & AT&T have done correct here, is they’ve extended the amount of time your phone can run while performing its basic functions. Simply delivering email and messages to your phone, constantly.
Well done Samsung. What the fuck Motorola? (I always hated your phones)

When I get my tablet back after I graduate next week (it was a gift for graduation) I’m going to buy this. SO COOL.
I actually want like all of the Touch Apps, but I dunno if I’m that rich.

Try! “necomimi” in Paris@Japan Expo 2011 (by neurowear)

yeah… those are costume cat ears that move when you concentrate or relax. BRAIN SCIENCE!

I am kind of excited for this phone. NO idea how I’m going to afford it. But I will. I just hope it comes to AT&T LTE.  Seriously.

It’s Scotty’s birthday today. Tell him happy birthday: Do it here.
