::Sigh:: someone make a plugin to block “instagram” complaints from my facebook feed?
Seriously people. How much do you pay to use Instagram? Case closed.
For those of you still complaining… Alternatives:
StreamZoo (Actually, this looks awesome, if you dont like Instagram, convince your friends to go here. Cause oh yeah, EVERYONE uses Instagram)
Twitter (Probably still owns rights to your photos)
Flickr (definitely owns SOME of the rights)
Google+ & Snapseed (I don’t know, or care).
Path (How have you not checked this app out yet?)
Snapr (This one is new to me)
Honestly, I’m not going to read their TOS for you. Why should I? If you all want to complain about it, you can read it yourself, and make an educated decision, otherwise, just use what’s convenient for you, Instagram.
Also, you’re all wrong. Instagram cannot sell your photos, it’s just going to use them for advertisements. And internal information.

Instagram does not claim ownership of any Content that you post on or through the Service. Instead, you hereby grant to Instagram a non-exclusive, fully paid and royalty-free, transferable, sub-licensable, worldwide license to use the Content that you post on or through the Service, except that you can control who can view certain of your Content and activities on the Service as described in the Service’s Privacy Policy, available here: http://instagram.com/legal/privacy/.

Also: http://instagram.com/legal/privacy/#section3

We will not rent or sell your information to third parties outside Instagram (or the group of companies of which Instagram is a part) without your consent, except as noted in this Policy.

The word sell literally shows up twice. The first time in that sentence, and the 2nd in reference to if the company sells.

Really folks, educate yourself.
